The Indian Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) has extended the deadline for mandatory security testing (ITSAR) of Wi-Fi CPEs and IP Routers under MTCTE guidelines to July 1, 2024. Simultaneously, the mandatory certification deadline for 10 specific product types (ERs) under MTCTE Phase-III and IV has also been extended to August 1, 2024.
Additionally, TEC has approved the following parameters under exemptions up to June 30, 2024, or until further notice, for all MTCTE product categories (if required): 5GNR (FR1); 5GNR- FR1 and FR2 interworking with other radios; 5G NR (FR2).
