According to the news released by MRT in August 2020, ANATEL in Brazil issued eight new acts that impact the ANATEL homologation process in July 2020. As a reminder, the following two acts will come into force on January 31, 2021.
Summary of Act No. 4082 of July 31, 2020:
For any applications submitted to ANATEL, the local holder of the certificate must confirm that they are committed to providing warranty and technical assistance to end users.
Summary of Act No. 4083 of July 31, 2020:
1. ANATEL requires all products and all factories to obtain ISO 9001 2015 certificates.
2. All samples sent to the local testing laboratories in Brazil must at least be marked with the model name, manufacturer, and country of origin.
