The Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (SUBTEL) in Chile has modified the resolution Exenta Nº1.4 of June 13th, 2016, to update the SAE/multiband/SIM lock label requirement with the purpose for the launch of 5G devices. This modification is preparing for opening 5G operation formally in Chile that requires providers of 5G devices to add a label describing the compatibility with the bands of different companies. These providers must also make their service plans available to customers.
