The RF regulator in Costa Rica -Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUTEL)- published RCS-141-2022 “Modificación parcial del procedimiento de homologación de terminales de telecomunicaciones móviles” to amend the requirement of approval for mobile telecommunications terminales and came into effect on June 16th, 2022.
According to the new regulation, all cellular product applications for new applicants from now will have to provide the Apostille convention stamped documentation in hard copy. Therefore, the apostille exemption for cellular device applications due to the pandemic COVID-19 is no longer effect, which revokes RCS-118-2021, released last year.
