Brazil ANATEL Publishes Act 7280

On 3rd December 2020, the Brazilian Regulator-Agência Nacional De Telecomunicaç.es (ANATEL) released Act 7280, to replace Act 2222. This new regulation will be implemented on 1st June 2021.
The main updates involved are as follows:
1) Devices previously requiring renewal every 1 year will be changed to every 2 years, such as cellular mobile phones and access terminal stations (ETA), batteries and chargers that are used in cellular mobile phones, terminal equipment like answering machines, modems, splitters and facsimiles.
2) Devices previously requiring no renewal will be changed to requiring renewal after every 3 years, such as nickel-cadmium batteries (not used in cellular mobile phones), optical cables and optical fibers, data network equipment for server infrastructure, like switching centers and multiplexers.
3) For some product types, ANATEL will accept international test reports from an ILAC-accredited laboratory, such as AM and FM transmitters, power amplifiers and mobile satellite transceivers.
