Korea Issues New Standard for Vehicle Wireless Devices
A new Standard KN 301 489-51 on Radio Equipment for Vehicles and Electric and Electronic Components has recently adopted in South Korea. The document establishes electromagnetic compatibility requirements for the above-mentioned equipment.
The standard applies to the following equipment and systems:
1:automobile and ground-based surveillance radars (using 24,25 GHz–24,65 GHz, 76 GHz–77 GHz and 34.275 GHz–34.875 GHz)
2:communication systems, base stations (V2X) (Intelligent Transportation Systems 5.855 GHz–5.925 GHz, object detection sensors 24.05 GHz–24.25 GHz for wireless devices)
3:information infrastructure radars for traffic monitoring
4:other analogous equipment
It is necessary to mention that the National Standard of Korea is based on the ETSI EN 301 489-51 V 2.1.0.
