2026-05-11 Vietnam Proposes 900 MHz IMT Band Expansion for 4G/5GThe Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) of Vietnam recently released a draft circular amending Circular No. 04/2024/TT-BTTTT. The draft expands the 900 MHz allocation from 890-915 MHz / 935-960 MHz to the full 880-915 MHz / 925-960 MHz range to better support 4G (IMT-Advanced) and 5G (IMT-2020) standards. These amendments are scheduled to take effect on September 16, 2026. -
2026-05-08 India Grants Temporary Exemption for LAN Switch Test ParametersOn April 30, 2026, the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India issued a temporary exemption for certain Fibre Channel test parameters on LAN switches (including products such as Fabric Interconnect and SAN switches) under MTCTE. The exemption is valid until July 31, 2026, and manufacturers must confirm via declaration that their LAN switch devices do not support the exempted parameters in order to qualify.
