Bahrain TRA Launches Innovation License To Encourage Innovation In Emerging Technologies

In an effort to encourage innovations and simplify the testing of emerging technologies, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in the Kingdom of Bahrain launches a new Innovation License and issued a related press release on 11 October 2022.
TRA announced that it wishes to ensure that Bahrain remains at the centre of new innovations in ICT services and that research and pre-commercial testing of technology of 5G and IoT technologies should be promoted. In support of that the TRA has launched its innovation licence.
Holders of an Innovation Licence will be able to carry out live trials of emerging technologies with consumers to gain insight into how the new products and services may work in the market in addition to having quick access to the radio spectrum for wireless tests.
