NCCS Of India Published ITSAR For 5G NR Equipment

National Centre for communication Security (NCCS) of India on 4 October published new Indian Telecommunication Security Assurance Requirements (ITSAR) for 5G NR equipment as below:
1. User Plane Function (UPF) of 5G - ITSAR
2. Unified Data Management (UDM) of 5G - ITSAR
3. Transmission Terminal Equipment - ITSAR
4. Session Management Function (SMF) of 5G - ITSAR
5. Security Edge Protection Proxy (SEPP) of 5G - ITSAR
6. Service Communication Proxy (SCP) of 5G - ITSAR
7. Optical Network Terminal (ONT)-PON family Broadband Equipment - ITSAR
8. Optical Line terminal (OLT) – PON family Broadband Equipment - ITSAR
9. Network Data Analytics Function (NDWAF) of 5G - ITSAR
10. Network Repository Function (NRF) of 5G - ITSAR
11. Network Exposure Function (NEF) of 5G - ITSAR
12. Non-3GPP Interworking Function (N3IWF) of 5G - ITSAR
13. Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) - ITSAR
14. CELL BROADCAST CENTRE(CBC) - ITSAR
15. Authentication Server Function (AuSF) of 5G - ITSAR
16. Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) of 5G – ITSAR
Please note that NCCS plans to mandate the security certification as part of MTCTE from 1st July of 2023; the certification will include not only 5G NR but also 4G core, WIFI.
