Australia: Public Consultation Regarding Changes to New Australian RF Class License
In order to accommodate for new technologies like 5G and the Internet of Things, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is planning to update their Radio communications Class License for low interference potential devices (LIPD).
The main updates relate to:
1. Wireless broadband in the 24.25 - 25.10 GHz band;
2. IoT devices in the 928 - 935 MHz band and VHF high bands;
3. Radiodetermination devices in the 10.50 - 10.55 GHz band.
The public consultation of ACMA will open until 26th October 2020. Anyone interested may submit comments, opinions or suggestions to ACMA website.
