Vietnam Type Approval Certificates Granted for LTE Devices could Become Invalid

VNTA has rejected an ADoC application for one LTE product and issued Document No. 2398/CVT-TT1 dated 10 July 2019 to request for Type Approval certificate according to new standard QCVN 117:2018/BTTTT.

Despite Type Approval certificate has been granted for this product just two weeks ago and Circular 05/2019/TT-BTTTT has not entered in effect yet, ADoC application was still rejected by the verification and Certification Center of VNTA. We can consider it means all the Type Approval certificates granted for 4G LTE product according to QCVN 47:2015/BTTTT could be also rejected by VNTA and impact is consider to be huge due to early implementation of QCVN 117:2018/BTTTT.

Importer and manufacturer need to apply for QCVN 117:2018/BTTTT testing and renew Type Approval certificate according to new standards to prevent delay in importing and distribution.
