EU Launched Data Field Project to Encourage Enterprises to Share Data
Study on the day before the launch of open data "data field for a period of three years" (Data Pitch) project, to encourage large enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) and start-up companies to establish data sharing alliance. The project is funded by the EU horizon 2020 innovation research program, so that large companies and small companies work closely together to share the best use of business data to launch new services and problem-solving.
The "data" project led by the University of Southampton in the UK, the research of open data, the Portuguese business incubator and France Beta- market data platform dawex, to open the European experience successful incubator based on the data of design project. In addition to start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises, the "data" project organizers also called for other organizations to participate in the University of Southampton and innovation laboratory to share data, the ultimate goal is to create an "innovation ecosystem" in the European continent, the large enterprises, entrepreneurial companies and other stakeholders can use shared data to obtain the economic and social benefits.
Open data Institute CEO Jeni - Denison said, an open data Institute, said the project encourages large companies and venture companies to cooperate and share enterprise data to benefit all participants. Entrepreneurial companies have the technical, flexibility and dynamism in the use of data innovation solutions. The project will allow about 50 SMEs and start-up companies to obtain a capital of 4 million 800 thousand euros to support their business growth. The project received applications from July 1, 2017, the first successful applicants will enter into a 6 month plan from December 2017.
