Vietnam Plans to Add 5925-6425 MHz Band in Radio Equipment Regulations

The Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam has released a draft amendment to Circular No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT, which regulates radio equipment exempt from licensing.

Key updates focus on the 5925-6425 MHz frequency band:

·         Indoor use: Devices can operate with up to 200 mW EIRP and 10 mW/MHz EIRP.

·         Outdoor use: Operation is limited to 25 mW EIRP and 1 mW/MHz EIRP.

The consultation period is open from October 21, 2024, to December 21, 2024. The ministry encourages public feedback through its website before the deadline.
