Indonesia Plans 2.6 GHz Spectrum Auction

Following up on the MRT IA news from May 30, 2025, recently Indonesia announced the plan to auction the crucial 2.6 GHz frequency band by the end of 2025. The Communication and Digital Affairs Minister confirmed the auction, which targets a completion date in 2026.

Based on the draft regulation, the key technical requirement for the 2.6 GHz Band (2500-2690 MHz, B41/n41) is the TDD Standard, which mandates that the entire spectrum (2500-2690 MHz) must be utilized in Time Division Duplexing (TDD) mode for cellular networks.
