Vietnam Issues New IP Camera Security Standards

On May 12, 2026, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam issued Circular 48/2026/TT-BCA, introducing QCVN 11:2026/BCA, the new National Technical Regulation on baseline cybersecurity requirements for Internet Protocol (IP) surveillance cameras.

The Circular will come into effect on July 1, 2026, and the new standard will replace the previous QCVN 135:2024/BTTTT, which was established by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The regulation also mandates that IP cameras must bear the CR conformity mark before they can be circulated in the Vietnamese market.
