Thailand TISI Mandatory for Power Banks
TISI, the authority in charge of safety certification in Thailand, has officially published TIS 2879-2560 Portable Power Bank – Safety Requirements. TISI is now mandatory for Power Banks and the announcement replaces the previous version from January 2019 that stated certification was voluntary.
The regulation takes effect on November 16, 2020 and all Power Banks will be required TISI approval before selling into the market.
