China SRRC Issues Radio Management Temporary Regulation For UWB Equipment

On April 29, 2024, the National Radio Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China officially issued “Radio Management Temporary Regulation for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Equipment”.
The Ultra-Wideband (UWB) radio transmission equipment mentioned in this regulation refers to radio transmission equipment with frequency 7163-8812 MHz and a transmission signal bandwidth (measured at -10dB) of not less than 500MHz. It is mainly used in short-range & high-speed wireless data communications, positioning, ranging, sensing and other fields. Such equipment must have a radio transmission equipment type approval certificate before it can be sold or used in China.
The above regulations will come into effect on August 1, 2025, and the original "Use Regulation Notice for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Technology Frequency" will be abolished at the same time.
