China SRRC Issues Radio Management Temporary Regulation For RFID Device

On April 29, 2024, the National Radio Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China officially issued the "Radio Management Regulation for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Device in the 900MHz Band."
RFID technology mentioned in this regulation refers to the technology that realizes non-contact data transmission between readers and tags through modulation and encoding of radio frequency signals, thereby identifying data such as identity information contained in the tags. The available frequency range for use is 920-925MHz. Such equipment must have a radio transmission equipment type approval certificate before it can be sold or used in China.
The regulation will take effect on November 1, 2024, and the original "Regulation for the Application of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology in the 800/900MHz Band (Trial)" will be will be abolished at the same time.
