Canada ISED Opens Public Consultation On RSS-216, Issue 3

The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is seeking comments on the consultation of RSS-216, issue 3, “Wireless power transfer devices”. This standard sets out the requirements applicable to wireless power transfer devices, including sources (transmitters) and clients (receivers).
The key changes compared to issue 2 include:
 increased maximum separation distance
 included the limits in RSS-216, instead of referring to ICES-001
 increased the maximum operation frequency from 400 MHz to 40 GHz and added limits for radiated emissions above 1 GHz
 adopted ANSI C63.30-2021
 other clarifications and general editorial updates
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions to ISED before July 2, 2024.
