India's TEC Renewed The MTCTE Procedure

The Indian Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) published the latest MTCTE Procedure (v3.0) on April 6, 2024, introducing the following key changes:
1. Extending the validity of Regular MTCTE Certificates from 5 years to 10 years.
2. Revising MTCTE labelling requirements.
3. Accepting valid certificates issued by BIS or test reports from BIS recognized labs against safety requirements under MTCTE ER.
4. Introducing the ITSAR requirement.
5. Updating the MTCTE flowchart.
MTCTE Procedure (v3.0) prescribes the general rules and procedures for Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) approval.
