Brazil ANATEL Act No. 2436 Comes Into Effect

The new Act No.2436, titled “MINIMUM CYBER SECURITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ASSESSING THE CONFORMITY OF CPE EQUIPMENT (CUSTOMER PREMISES EQUIPMENT)”, released by ANATEL on March 7, 2023, came in force on March 10, 2024.
CPE devices used to connect to the Internet service provider's network are now mandatory to comply with the cyber security assessment requirement established by Act No.2436. Additionally, ANATEL has also released Official Letter No.83 to supplement the details about those applications that were submitted to OCD before the enforcement of the new Act.
