Australia Updated Guidelines For EESS Certification

The Australian Standing Committee of Officials (SCO) updated guidance on using IECEE CB test reports for EESS level 3 equipment. Testing at IECEE facilities or by CBTL staff/LTR at Customer Testing Facilities (CTF) Stages 1 and 2 is accepted, but not for CTF Stages 3 or 4. A transition period until June 30, 2024, allows certification using CTF3 test reports, with no transition for CTF4 reports. After this, no CTF 3 or 4 reports will be accepted. Existing certifications using CTF3 reports remain valid unless canceled earlier due to safety issues.
