ACMA Explores 6 GHz Band Shifts in Spectrum Tune-Up

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) will conduct a spectrum tune-up to examine developments in the 6 GHz band (5925–7125 MHz). With the lower part (5925–6425 MHz) already allocated for radio local area networks (RLANs), the ACMA will focus on planning options for the upper range (6425–7125 MHz) in a online session on February 29. The discussion will include hybrid options for shared RLAN and wireless broadband (WBB) use, as well as exploring automatic frequency control (AFC) possibilities.
