Malaysia SIRIM Suspends Renewal For CoC Expired More Than Six Months

On December 13, 2023, the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) has issued Announcement SQASI/CMCS/1/23/0009. It declared the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) that have been expired for more than six months will now be automatically blocked or suspended for renewal.
That is the system will automatically suspend the CoC with prior notice from SIRIM QAS International if it has expired for more than six months. In the event that no action is taken by the Certificate Holder within fourteen working days from the suspension date of the CoC, the CoC shall be recommended to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for cancellation without further notice to the Certificate Holder.
