India TEC Announces Updates And Deadline Extensions For MTCTE Compliance

The Indian Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) has extended the deadline for mandatory security testing (ITSAR) of Wi-Fi CPEs and IP Routers under MTCTE guidelines to April 1, 2024. Simultaneously, the mandatory certification deadline for 12 specific product types (ERs) under MTCTE Phase-III and IV has also been extended to April 1, 2024. However, the certification date for the remaining product types remains unchanged as January 1, 2024.
Additionally, TEC has approved the re-categorization of notified products into GCS (Generalized Certificate Scheme) and SCS (Simplified Certification Scheme) under the MTCTE. For a detailed list of products, please contact the MRT team.
