Chile SUBTEL Enforce Battery Charger Safety Approval In 2024
The Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels (Superintendencia de Electricidad y Combustibles, SEC) in Chile has released a new Resolution 14224 to approve Protocol PE Nº 1/38: 2022, to establish testing protocol of multiple tests and safety certification procedure for battery and/or battery chargers intended for domestic use. It was announced that it will come into enforce on March 31, 2024.
The new protocol has been introduced to comply with the following standard:
