Vietnam MIC Issues Circular No.2/2022/TT-BTTT

On May 16, 2022, the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam has officially released Circular No.2/2022/TT-BTTTT to replaced the Circular 11/2020/TT-BTTTT and Circular 01/2021/TT-BTTTT stipulating the new list of products under MIC Type Approval and Self-assessment DoC scope. Some detailes are as follows:
1. MIC has updated new national technical standards (QCVN) to the list including:
(1) QCVN 22:2021/BTTTT (for safety of ICT product, enforced for DECT phone only at this moment)
(2) QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT (RF for WLAN 5GHz)
(3) QCVN 123:2020/BTTTT (RF for 40GHz ~ 246GHz SRD)
(4) QCVN 124:2021/BTTTT (RF for 76GHz ~ 77GHz vehicle radar)
(5) QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT (RF for 5G NR SA mobile terminal)
(6) QCVN 128:2021/BTTTT(RF for 5G mobile communication base station)
(7) QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT (RF for 5G NR NSA mobile terminal)
2.Some products that required both TAC and SDoC before were adjusted to the list of products that only require SDoC. These products include:
(1) Land vehicle radar installations in the 76~77GHz frequency ban
(2) Some general-purpose short-range transmitters and specified frequency band receivers
(3) RFID in the 13.56MHz band
(4) Microwave equipment
3.Before July 1, 2023, wireless access devices can choose to use QCVN 65: 2013 or QCVN 65: 2021 certification. From July 1, 2023, only QCVN 65: 2021 certification can be used.
The Circular No. 2/2022/TT-BTTTT shall take effect from July 01, 2022.
