Mexico IFT Closure Date And Expected Delay

As a reminder, the RF regulator of Mexico - Instituto Federal de las Telecomunicaciones (IFETEL) – will be closed for the annual holiday from July 18th to July 29th, 2022. The closure might result in an extended delay for certification-related work.
Besides, IFT’s homologation is still suffering from a serious delay due to their heavy load of cases since the regulation changes in February 2021 that the certificates must be obtained by each importer.
The certificates received recently is still with a lead time of 18 weeks. Therefore, it is now expected that the lead time for new applications may be extended to 20~24 weeks in the worst case.
