Belarus Publishes Decree No. 270 To Simplify Procedure Of Approvals
On May 6, 2022, Decree No. 270 “Regarding features of confirmation of conformity” signed by “The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus” comes into force. The Decree confirms the extension of valid time of documents of mandatory conformity, simplifies the procedures of assessment of conformity, detailed information is described as below:
1. The expired date of documents of mandatory conformity, which is from May 6, 2022 to September 31, 2022, will be extended for 12 months; it is allowed to sell, distribute products in Belarus without reassessment or periodical check before the expiration date of existing conformity documents;
2. The scheduled periodical check for certification of conformity in 2022 can be postponed up to 12 months based on agreement of license holder and certification body;
3. For reassessment of certification of conformity for serial products, it is allowed to use reports within 3 years for analyzing, if the product
- has no changes (or new) in technical requirements;
- has no changes in the design and manufacturing technology, which will affect to its performance;
4. Spare parts for repairing, components for using in manufacturing in Belarus, single unit for non-commercial using, can be imported into Belarus without providing conformity documents to customs.
5. According to simplified approval procedure, the third party’s test report now is accepted for mandatory conformity approval in Belarus;
Please note that the Decree No. 270 is applied only for Republic of Belarus. The Decree will be valid until December 31, 2023.
