Israel MoC Decides to Shut Down the 2G and 3G Networks Gradually

On 27th June 2021, Israel RF regulator - Ministry of Communication (MoC) has decided to shut down 2G and 3G networks gradually before 31st December 2025.
The process has the following 3 stages:
Stage 1: Prohibition of the commercial importing of mobile devices that support only 2G and 3G technologies, starting 1st January 2022.
Stage 2: As of 1st January 2023, ceasing the connection of new mobile devices to the networks that support only 2G and 3G technologies. Operators will be required to provide 2G and 3G service to existing subscribers up to the time that the networks will shut down.
Stage 3: The shutdown of 2G and 3G networks - 31st December 2025.
