Saudi Arabia CITC Opens Public Consultation on Technical Specifications

On March 4th, 2021, the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) in Saudi Arabia has opened a public consultation on “The Modernization of Technical Specifications for Communication and Information Technology Devices and Equipment”.
Accommodating and allowing the latest technologies is the goal of technical specifications. This public consultation updates a series of technical specifications, mainly including RI049 (specification road transport, traffic telematics and intelligent transport systems), RI054 (specification for Short Range Devices), RI085 (specification for Ultra-Wideband Equipment), among others.
The consultation will be opened until April 3rd, 2021, during which all parties concerned can submit their opinions and comments to CITC.
