Algeria ARPCE Published New Short - Range Device Guidelines

On 17th January 2021, Algeria Regulator - the Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Communications Electroniques (ARPCE) has published updated Short-Range Device Guidelines - Décret exécutif n° 21-43 du 3 Joumada Ethania 1442 correspondant au 17 janvier 2021 fixant les caractéristiques des dispositifs de faible portée utilisés dans l'établissement des réseaux privés internes radioélectriques.
The new Short Range Device guidelines cover a range of characteristics for specific technologies including frequency band, maximum output power, bandwidth etc. Some of the key frequency bands now included in the new Guidelines are as follows:
1. The maximum output power of frequency band 5725 - 5825 MHz under Non-specific SRD’s is 25mW EIRP;
2. The maximum output power of frequency band 76 - 77 GHz for radars used for transport systems is 1W EIRP;
3. For RFID devices, available frequency bands are 13553 - 13567 kHz, 433.05 - 434.79 MHz, 862 - 870 MHz, 865 - 868 MHz, 870 - 876 MHz and 915 - 921 MHz.
