China MIIT/SRRC Issued Public Consultation on Draft Regulation of 2.4GHz, 5.1GHz and 5.8GHz Band

On 27th January, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT) released the public consultation notification regarding Draft Regulation of 2400-2483.5MHz, 5150-5350MHz and 5725-5850MHz bands.
The main changes summarized as below:
1.The new regulation will replace the technical regulations of MIIT [2002]35, MIIT [2002]277, MIIT [2003]225, MIIT [2012]620.
2.From 1st January, 2022, all product with technology and band refer to this regulation should follow the new regulation to be SRRC approved.
3.The new regulation will define the WLAN equipment with IP address allocation function shall support IPv6 protocol and enable IPv6 address allocation function by default.
The public consulting will expire on 28th February, after that SRRC will evaluate the comments and publish the final regulation regarding 2.4GHz/5.1GHz/5.8GHz bands.
