India: BIS Announced the Addition of Product Categories Which Will Be Subject to Mandatory Certification
On October 1, 2020, India regulator BIS has released the official Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS) list of Phase-V and introduced the added product categories which will be subject to mandatory certification under the CRS.
The new product categories and their corresponding Indian Standards are as follows:

Digital Camera | IS 13252 (Part 1): 2010 |
Video Camera | IS 616:2017 |
Webcam (Finished Product) | IS 616:2017 |
Smart Speakers (with and without Display) | IS 616:2017 |
Dimmers for LED products | IS 60669-2-1: 2008 |
Bluetooth speakers | IS 616: 2017 |
All these products must comply with their relevant standards and bear R number under BIS CRS scheme effectively from April 1,2021.
