Argentina ENACOM Updates Label Requirement

Ente Nacional deComunicaciones (ENACOM) in Argentina has released Resolution 854 on 6th August,2020 that establishes the new labeling scheme for ENACOM approved devices. Themajor changes in the updated Resolution are summarized below:

The CNC ID and logohave been replaced by the RAMATEL registration number and logo (RAMATEL is theentity behind the type approval authorities CNC, AFTIC, and ENACOM, and holdsthe record of all Argentina approvals)

The RAMATEL logo mayfollow the isologotype or isotype example, and the RAMATEL registration numbermust be placed below the logo

There is not an“Acronym Format” option under the current Resolution that was previouslyavailable under the CNC labeling scheme, so the RAMATEL logo is mandatory toinclude on the product label

All certificate holdershave until August 12, 2022 to adapt the new label scheme

ID numbers will remainthe same if renewal applications are submitted before certificate expiration

For products already onthe market, the CNC ID will still be efficient

For vehicles, theRAMATEL logo and registration number may appear in the user manual
