Argentina Approval Validity Extension

The Argentine Regulator – Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) – published Resolución 771/2020, extending the validity of certain Type Approval Certificates as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 impact.

Resolución 771/2020 confirms that validity of Type Approval certificates which have an expiry date between 16th March 2020 and 18th September 2020 will be extended by a period of 60 calendar days.

This replaces ENACOM’s previous resolution in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, 461/2020, whereby the extension applied to certificates expiring between 16th March 2020 and 30th June 2020.

ENACOM has advised that a system will be in place to automatically display the validity extensions of Approval certificates and recommends renewing Type Approval Certificates per the current process.
