Nigeria Update to the Frequency Allocation Table

The Frequency Management Council of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has updated its frequency allocation table for services and frequency usage.

Frequency allocation in Nigeria has been separated into the following segments:

•     Segment 1: Below 30 MHz

•     Segment 2: 30 MHz–300 MHz

•     Segment 3: 300 MHz–3 GHz

•     Segment 4: 3 GHz–10 GHz

•     Segment 5: 10 GHz–30 GHz

•     Segment 6: 30 GHz–300 GHz

Services are allocated on either a primary or secondary basis. If frequency bands are allocated to more than one service, services will be classified as either primary or secondary. Stations providing secondary services are restricted from causing harmful interference to, and claiming protection from, harmful interference from primary stations of service.
