Latvia has Released 1,500MHz of Spectrum for Mobile Communications

Latvia Telecom Regulatory Authority SPRK announced recently that it will terminate the use of 5G compatible spectrum of Lattelecom in the 1427 MHz-1452 MHz/1492 MHz-1517 MHz band. The resolution will enter into force on 1 January 2021.            

Relevant departments explained in the circular that according to the content of the national radio frequency planning, the above range frequency resources will be released on December 31, 2020, and the revision of the radio frequency planning is to replan the use of fixed communication and mobile communication bandwidth. Relevant departments will start planning the redistribution of the right of use from now on. From January 1, 21, operators with access rights can make full use of the spectrum resources in this area.
