Mexico IFT Opens Public Consultation On CNAF

On June 3, 2024, The Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFT) in Mexico released a public consultation on Preliminary Draft Agreement to modify the National Frequency Allocation Table (CNAF, Cuadro Nacional de Atribución de Frecuencias).
The Preliminary Draft Agreement aims to:
i) Modernize the regulatory framework for radio spectrum frequency bands based on analysis by the Institute and the 5G Deployment Technical Committee in Mexico
ii) Allow the Institute to grant concessions for experimental private use and authorizations for secondary use of frequency bands not allocated in the National Frequency Allocation Table.
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions before June 28, 2024.
