SDPPI Of Indonesia Released The New SRD Regulation

On 13 May, 2024, the Directorate General under the Minister of Communication and Information Technology (SDPPI) of Indonesia signed the “Decree of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 260 of 2024 (KEPMEN KOMINFO NO 260 TAHUN 2024),” which covers the following types of SRD products/technologies:
a. IEEE 802.15.1 Bluetooth;
b. Near Field Communication (NFC);
c. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID);
d. Ultra Wide Band (UWB);
e. Low Rate Wireless Personal Area Network IEEE 802.15.4;
f. Cordless Telephones;
g. Wireless Power Transmission (WPT);
h. Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS);
i. Telecommunication devices with transmitting power below 10 mW;
j. Other short-range devices.
The detailed parameters and the referred international standards for specific SRDs are also listed in KEPMEN KOMINFO NO 260 TAHUN 2024.
