Moldova Recognizes the CE Mark as of February 28, 2026

Following the MRT IA news published on November 11, 2025, the Republic of Moldova officially implemented Law LP197/2025 on February 28, 2026, updating the national framework for accreditation and conformity assessment.

As a result, Moldova now recognizes procedures conducted by EU notified bodies. This means that products legally bearing the CE mark may enter the Moldovan market without repeating additional conformity assessment procedures in Moldova, as long as they comply with applicable national requirements.

Please note that for products that do not bear the CE mark, the national SM conformity mark remains mandatory.

Additionally, Law LP197/2025 specifies that conformity assessment in Moldova may still be carried out voluntarily for products that already bear the CE mark.
