Korea Simplifies 6 GHz Wireless Device Testing

The National Radio Research Agency (RRA) of Korea recently introduced measures to simplify testing procedures for wireless devices operating in the 5925-7125 MHz (6 GHz) band for indoor usage.

According to the RRA's technical review, the following simplifications are now available:

1.     Since the 5925-7125 MHz range is not physically divided for indoor use, it can be tested as a single band for PSD < 2 dBm/MHz.

2.     For devices designed for both indoor and subway use, manufacturers can satisfy all requirements by applying the more stringent subway out-of-band emission standards, eliminating the need for separate indoor-specific tests.
