Venezuela CONATEL Updates Type Approval Certificate Validity

The Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL) of Venezuela has updated the validity period of type approval certificates for telecommunications equipment.

Under the updated framework, newly issued type approval certificates will be granted with indefinite validity, replacing the previous one-year validity period.

Type approval certificates that were issued with a one-year validity period will remain valid until their stated expiration date. Once these certificates expire, a new homologation application will be required to obtain a certificate with indefinite validity.
