Brazil ANATEL Released New Act 5155 For Mobile Phone Chargers

The Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes (ANATEL) in Brazil has published the new Act N°5155 titled “TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS AND TEST PROCEDURES FOR ASSESSING THE CONFORMITY OF CHARGER USED IN CELLULAR MOBILE TELEPHONES”, which regulates the technical requirements and test procedures for chargers used in cellular mobile phones, inductive chargers, and chargers used in vehicle.
The new act revokes the existing Act No. 3481 and Act No.5159. It has come into effect recently and will become mandatory from October 14, 2024.
