Egypt NTRA Updates Type Approval Procedure

Recently, the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) in Egypt updated the Type Approval Procedure on its website, along with the Type Approval Scheme Determination Flowchart and related documents.
According to the latest procedure, the applicant can apply for type certification according to the Light Scheme without completing testing and inspection at an NTRA accredited laboratory, if the manufacturer (brand owner) of product fully meets the following three conditions:
1) The manufacture (brand owner) has a branch located in one of the 1st or 3rd category countries.
2) This branch has got ISO certificate in the product design & development or manufacturing scope.
3) The referred ISO certificate is issued by a certification body located in one of 1st category countries and registered by IAF.
