Singapore - IMDA Issues Public Consultation on 2.1 GHz Band for 5G Use

On 26th July 2021, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore has issued a public consultation in regard to allocate the 2.1G band to 5G networks under Standalone network specifications.
The 2.1GHz band is currently used for 3G services and will expire at the end of 2021. IMDA plans to reserve some 2.1 GHz spectrum for consumers who choose to continue to use 3G services in Singapore.
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions before August 16, 2021.
