Seychelles ICT Issues New Type Approval Procedure

On 4th May 2021, the RF regulatory of Seychelles - Department of Information Communications Technology issued a new type approval procedure for radio communication equipment. The main content involved is as follows:
1.Type approval of radio communication equipment is mandatory in Seychelles;
2.Both modular and family authorization/certification is allowed under the new type approval procedure;
3.It is recommended for manufacturer to label equipment to indicate the associated standard(s) to which it complies, such as the ETSI and/or FCC recognized technical standards.
The new type approval procedure has been effective immediately from 4th May 2021.
