Reminder: Brazil ANATEL Act No.7280 Will Come Into Force

According to the news released by MRT in December 2020, ANATEL in Brazil issued Act No.7280 on December 3, 2020, to replace Act No.2222. As a reminder, the Act No.7280 will come into force on June 1, 2021.
Summary of Act No.7280:
1. ISO 9001 certificate required for all factory units, no matter the type of product;
2. 1 year renewal cycle will be extinct for new approvals and for those products the new renewal cycle will become 2 years (example: phones, WWAN devices, xDSL modem, Mobile Phone’s batteries and chargers, power bank, etc.);
3.ANATEL will accept international test reports of some product types from an ILAC-accredited laboratory, such as AM and FM transmitters, power amplifiers and mobile satellite transceivers;
4.Lifetime certificate’s rule will be no longer exist and the new rule will be 3 years renewal cycle for those type of products;
5.Some type of products will be acceptable to approve by Declaration of Conformity (DoC). Examples: Connectors, Broadcasting equipment, RF Power Amplifier for Earth Station, Earth Station Modem, XDSL Filter - Central Splitter and others.
