Oman - TRA Opens Public Consultation for Use of the 6GHz Band for Wi-Fi 6E

On 31st March 2021, the RF regulator of Oman - Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has opened a “Public Consultation on the Use of the 6 GHz Frequency Band for Wi-Fi Technology.”
TRA is of the view to make the lower part of the frequency band 6 GHz (5925-6425 MHz) available for Wi-Fi and other RLAN devices on license- exempt basis, enabling indoor use only.
The consultation will be opened until May 5th, 2021, during which all parties concerned can submit their opinions and comments to TRA.
