Papua New Guinea NICTA Opens Public Consultations for 2.6 GHz, 800 MHz and 5G NR

On 19th March 2021, the RF regulator of Papua New Guinea - National Information & Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) has opened the following three public consultations:
1.Draft Band Plan for 2.6GHz (2500-2690MHz).
2.Draft Band Plan for 800MHz (806-879MHz).
3.Spectrum Identified for IMT 2020 (5G) in Papua New Guinea
Proposed Frequency Band Arrangements for 5G NR are:
1.Mid-bands: 2600 MHz (2500-2690 MHz) and 3.5 GHz (3400-3600 MHz)
2.High-bands (mmWave): 24.25-27.5 GHz, 37-43.5 GHz and 66-71 GHz
All parties concerned can submit their opinions and comments to NICTA which will finalize the plan taking into account feedback from this process.
